The Skagit Valley College Public Information Office takes the lead in the planning and production of external communications for SVC, helping to coordinate the official voice of the college. These activities include institutional print and electronic publications, promotional materials, ad campaigns, social media, as well as interactions with the news media. Our core projects include enrollment marketing promotional and informational pieces for the the College district for Academic Pathways, Professional/Technical Programs, Basic Education for Adults, and Enrollment Services.

Life Transitions Program accepting applications for January class

 

 

 

Skagit Valley College’s Life Transitions Program is now accepting applications for the program’s FREE Career Exploration/Job Search class that begins in January. Classes take place on the Mount Vernon Campus.

Life Transitions is designed to help individuals who are looking to make a career change, increase their self-esteem, identify job skills, explore employment options, and who are considering college.

To register, interested people must attend an Orientation session. Orientations for the Mount Vernon Campus are held every Wednesday from 1:30 pm in Nelson Hall in Room N101. For more information, call Margo Grothe at (360) 416-7044 or toll free 1-844-2SKAGIT ext. 7044.

Philanthropy expands Automotive program

photo-nov-15-11-21-39-amThanks to the support of a generous donor, the training experience for students in SVC’s Automotive Technology program has been expanded. The donor’s gift of $50,000 provided the opportunity for the department to purchase two new pieces of equipment.
