The Skagit Valley College Public Information Office takes the lead in the planning and production of external communications for SVC, helping to coordinate the official voice of the college. These activities include institutional print and electronic publications, promotional materials, ad campaigns, social media, as well as interactions with the news media. Our core projects include enrollment marketing promotional and informational pieces for the the College district for Academic Pathways, Professional/Technical Programs, Basic Education for Adults, and Enrollment Services.

Skagit Connections Conference: Early Childhood Education professionals making a difference for tomorrow’s leaders

DSC_0093Skagit Valley College welcomed more than 500 Early Childhood Education professionals from around the region to the Mount Vernon Campus for the 2016 Skagit Connections Conference. Thanks to the leadership of SVC’s ECE and Paraprofessional Department Chairs Barbara Martinez-Griego and Kip Zwolenski, the annual bilingual event brought together preschool teachers, childcare providers, and support staff for a full day of professional development. The event included resource sharing, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities.
