SVC Drama Department announces two free matinee performances of Prometheus Bound

Drama MasksThe Skagit Valley College Drama Department announces that two free matinee performances of Prometheus Bound, directed by Department Chair Damond Morris, will take place in the Phillip Tarro Theatre on February 12th and 26th at 12:30 p.m. This performance is a 40-minute condensed version of the Fall Quarter tour de force, now on tour in area high schools. The classic Greek myth of the Titan chained to a mountain by Zeus for delivering fire, knowledge, and art to man, is coupled with a design inspired by Native American Salish art and storytelling tradition. The play features student designed and implemented masks of classic Greek gods, maidens, and sea nymphs who visit Prometheus to witness his persecution.
